Thats using a third party firmware. If you want to try that, dd-wrt will do it but it depends on your version of router.

Also, using 3rd party firmware voids your warranty.

u simply got the wrong device u need a wireless access point or a wireless bridge to resolve ur concern

Not sure if this helps but I have done the following in the past (On it currently): I was able to setup a WRT54G wireless router to communicate to another router on a pre-existing network by assigning a static IP address and then give it another network range which works just fine. Basic Setup Screen: StaticIP: 192.168.1.200 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.1.1 - This is the first router on the network that you must point to. Local Network: 10.10.10.1 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Leave Advanced Routing as Gateway This is working just fine on a WRT54G v5 Linksys Wireless Router Cheers
