Make sure File and Printer Sharing is Enabled... Also make sure both the computer's are in the same workgroup... The default workgroup name in Mac is mshome. In WindowsXP, the default workgroup name is MSHOME... Also go into the computer software firewall on each computer, and set it to "trust" the other computers on your network. Check this link for Mac

I was trying to setup the MACbook Pro and I selected <restart> to start over. The computer starts but the<load> icon just keeps turning and the restart never proceeds. I shut it down using the method in the trouble shooting guide but same thing. Then I restart as the guide says - trying the <control-optioon>< P-R > immediately after getting the start sound.Same thing again - not proceeds past loading. Then I start holding the option key alone and get the HD icon when I clik on it and hit the right arrow - same deal? I guess next step is to load my Utility CD? This dang thing is a brand new 17 inch laptop only 10 days out of the box and is ALREADY more problem than Microsoft XP. I think I made a big expensive mistake!!!! And I never did get it to work properly on my LAN, Any suggestions.

Well to share a Files and Folder between the Windows Computer and MAC computer is bit tricky process. As you have tried the previous post and still you are unable to access your PC from MAC. May be you can some link i think these will let you Enable the Sharing Between your MAC and XP. File sharing between Mac and PC click Here. File sharing between Mac and PC click Here.
