Hey Guys, For some reason, we've had some problems with our NAT type for our xbox. We've got a good connection (green), yet the NAT type always comes up as "Moderate". Right now, we use the standard wireless adapter (configured for the xbox) to connect to our router (WRT150N). I've tried power cycling, manually entering the IP Address, Mask, and Gateway, but nothing has worked...any suggestions?

Usually a moderate NAT issue is due to two devices on a network performing NAT. Your router is probably hooked up to the ISP's device which is providing the NAT service. Is this similar to your network configuration? To remedy, you can put your modem device into bridge mode which will likely require a bit of research depending on make/model. An easier way to get around this is to configure your network so that your router performs only as a switch. You will have to attach the modem to a LAN port on the router and keep the WAN port unused, and turn off DHCP on the router. If you've already taken steps to eliminate any other NAT devices, then you could post more details about your ISP, network layout and other components and perhaps get a bit more assistance.

Yes our ISP gave us a modem which connects to our router through an "internet" (I think its also called a WAN) port. So if I attach the modem to the router via an ethernet port, will the router still be able to recieve data from the modem? Also, without the router page, is it still possible to change the DHCP?

Who is your Internet Service Provider...? If your ISP is DSL then, convert the modem into the bridge mode to make your X-Box working...

Ugh, back again...Those moments of no problems were short lived. When the problems came back, I went ahead and put our router into switch mode (went into the command prompt, found the default gateway number, and gained access to our router's homepage). After turning the DHCP off, I connected the modem through a LAN port and everything worked fine. Then we started loosing connection on a majority of the computers on our home network (except for mine, and the one connected directly to the router). Trying to reverse the problem, I attempted to get back onto the router's homepage, but it wouldn't allow me in. Any suggestions?
