Alright so here's the deal.

I have a Linksys WRT54G. Two computers hook up to it wired and two laptops hook up to it wirelessly.

Every day though (probably 5 minium times) the laptops or pcs loose connection and it takes about 5 minutes to get it back. This has been an annoying ongoing event thats happened the last 6 months or so.

I have the Firmware updated to the lastest version, and It seems to be hook up fine. Can anyone help me out and figure out what the cause of this is?

My ISP is Comcast by the way.

Kudos!

Just to make sure connect the computer to the modem directly and check if you are getting same problem with the modem..?

Try to do the following settings on the router and check the result...

- Reduce the MTU size to 1350.

- Change the Wireless Channel to 11-2.462GHz

- Under Advance Wireless Settings,Change the Beacon Interval to 75,Fragmentation Threshold to 2304,RTS Threshold to 2304.

I did everything you said and the connection seemed to be a bit stabler but just as I was going to post on here, I lost it. Go figure.

Anything else I could do to make my connection a bit more stable?

Thanks!

Much Appreciated

Try reflashing the router's firmware. After reflashing the router's firmware, reset the router and reconfigure the router again from the scratch.
