*THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN SOLVED* I solved this issue after it seemed like I tryed everything but nothing worked. What I did was use a PPPoE connection and my ISP walked me through how to do it, now when connected straight to my modem i get NAT 1, but through the modem is useless so I managed to (i think) setup PPPoE on the router and I get a perfect type 2!!!! So coming from me if nothing works setup up your PS3 with a PPPoE and make sure your routers settings are configured properly, any advice on setting up a PPPoE through the router would be nice though since I just kept all the default settings.

I have a WRT54GS2 router. I keep getting the NAT: Type 3 message on my PS3. I have used Port Forwarding and Triggering, set my Ps3 in the DMZ of the router, disabled all firewalls, and I still get NAT: Type 3. My ISP is through satellite, and they told me that the modem was DHCP only. Is there anything I missed?
