I just hooked up a new WRT160N wireless router and now none of the computers on the network can see the WPS54G print server.

Hi, your new router should have the ssid and wep key if ever as you have configured in your print server.

Hope this help.

If none computers can see print server, but can connect to wireless network and get online, it means print server is not hooked to wireless network. Just login to router's setup and note down all wireless settings like ssid, channel encryption type, encryption key etc. Now hard reset print server and run setup disk for print server and do setup print server once again with all correct settings being input.

I am having similar problems. Just hooked my WRT160N up.  My wirless PC is working fine.  My hardwired PC, which is shared can no longer be accessed either for print or file share.  I just upgraded from an older Linksys router and I would have to say the transition has not been smooth so far. I am using  a WEP key and have SSID enabled.  Sounds like a similar problem. Any thing you find out would be appreciated.

I reconnected the old router and everything works fine.  There has to be a setting that I have overlooked.

After working with Linksys for hours, I discovered that the new router will not work if you have 'any' firewall enabled.  I was using McAfee.  Once I removed it, everything is fine.  By the way I was using a WEP key.

I cannot find what "Passphrase" is needed to finish connecting my wireless computer to the Linksys router WRT160N.  The Router password that I set up when installing the new router and my 26-digit security key will neither one work.  What is needed?

You do not need to disable all software based firewalls in order to fully utilize the wrt160n for network filesharing though, to be honest, this will work if you don't want to take the time to configure your firewall as the hardware based firewall in the router is usually sufficient.  I currently run two software based firewalls (Norton and Zonealarm) and have configured them to allow for computers on my network to use filesharing.  This option can typically be found in Zonealarm under the "trusted zone" and in Norton under personal firewall->settings->trust control.  You need to find the IP addresses of each computer on your network and add these to the trusted zones.  (You can find these addresses by using the LELA program.)  In Norton, an additional step is necessary: under personal firewall->advanced settings->configure tou need to allow windows file sharing (shared Networks) ad the default is set to block.

If you have done all of this and are still experiencing issues, the next step for filesharing is to allow for filesharing of particular drives.  This is rather easy in windows XP but a real pain in the rear when it comes to Vista as you need to alter your security settings for each drive (found under properties) to include the group name NETWORK as well as enable sharing!
