Hello all Due to the large numbers of downloads I am posting these in a more easily accessible style. Here are the links for 64 bit drivers to be used with any ***64 bit Windows OS***. Your 64 bit OS will properly identify and configure your adapter. Simply click on your adapter model number below and you will be taken to the download site. (or right click and select "open in a new tab/window" ) WUSB54G v4 (added support for the WUSB54GP v4 to this 1) WMP54G v4.1 (this has 2 folders in it. 1 for XP and 1 for Vista) ***Do not try to use these with 32 bit systems. 32 bit drivers are on your adapter installation CD and available for download from Linksys. Except for a select few. If you can not get your XP drivers on your Linksys installation CD working on Vista 32 bit check this post: If you have driver installation problems with another specific adapter (or any issues with these drivers) please email me the following information: 1.) your Operating System version 2.) EXACT make and model # of the adapter 3.) Hardware ID of the adapter (in Device Manager right click on your adapter, select "properties", select the "details" tab at the top and then select "hardware ID" from the drop down menu.) 4.) EXACT error message AND code # if you are having an issue with one of these drivers.
Once your problem has been resolved I will add it to the list above. ***PLEASE dont waste your time trying to use a driver for an adapter that doesnt EXACTLY match the model # of your adapter. The WUSB54Gv4 does not work on the WUSB54AG or the WUSB54GC. The WMP54Gv4 does not work on the WMP54GS. etc. etc. Different adapters use different chipsets and require different drivers 97% of the time. I say 97% instead of 99% because I like the # 97 better. If your specific adapter is not listed please send me the requested info. Hope this stuff helps you all out. Have a great day and happy surfing! mrsmith Message Edited by mrsmith_007 on 11-18-200602:40 AM Message Edited by mrsmith_007 on 11-18-200603:13 AM Message Edited by mrsmith_007 on 11-22-200610:34 PM Message Edited by mrsmith_007 on 11-23-200601:45 AM Message Edited by mrsmith_007 on 11-27-200601:31 AM Message Edited by mrsmith_007 on 01-18-200708:27 PM Message Edited by mrsmith_007 on 01-20-200707:42 PM Message Edited by mrsmith_007 on 01-22-200712:39 AM

I would also like to recommend that you use the Windows Wireless Zero to configure your network and internet connection. Uninstall the Linksys Wireless LAN Monitor. The more you have running the slower you go. If you chose to use the Linksys Wireless LAN monitor then PLEASE disable Windows Wireless Zero. (Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services - scroll down to Windows Wireless, right click on it, select properties, set "startup type" to "disabled", click "apply" and click "OK" ) Also, if you disable DHCP and apply a static IP you will have the best connection possible. On Windows XP and newer disable "Netbios over TCP/IP". On older systems, enable "Netbios over TCP/IP" for file shareing. Whenever DHCP refreshes your local network (which is not necessary and happens quite often) you will experience a slight break in internet connection. This is mostly noticable when you are downloading and/or uploading large files and surfing many different sites at once. This will not affect the DHCP refresh between your router and your ISP which is refreshed once every certain number of days (determined by your ISP) In order to change any settings within your router you must access your router.
Another nice tweak is to assign specific ports both in your router and in your computer. especially if you have more than 1 adapter connected Message Edited by mrsmith_007 on 11-18-200603:10 AM Message Edited by mrsmith_007 on 11-18-200603:11 AM Message Edited by mrsmith_007 on 01-20-200707:46 PM
