I see that the WPC54g has a number of versions. Are the later ones better?

I have a WPC54G version 2 notebook adaptor.  Will any of the later driver versions work with this.  My CD is damaged and I cannot install from it and am unable to find vers 2 on your website.

  i need version 1.2 driver download, but it gives me 3.1 instead of 1.0.
