Hi all, Under System Management; Dual-Wan you can set a DNS Lookup Host to ping.... my questions is... many thanks Jake

Using the ping command does not require the www. in front of the URL though it will work with it as well. Both options will work.

So the Linksys DNS Looup Host works in the same way as command pinging, I was hoping this was the case so that I would have the choice. Also, have you noticed how "google.com" has a slower response than www.google.com, I wonder if that's because it takes a little longer to resolve without the www. Response time pinging "google.com" 125ms , also request timeout Many thanks for the answer.
