Hi! I hope someone will be able to tell me what could be the problem with my Linksys WAG54G2. I bought this wifi router/adsl modem just recently and i am quite satisfied - it works great with wired connections - i had absolutely no problems there at all. BUT it seems there is some problem with WiFi connection. Every 2-3 days or so, the router just stops to broadcast any Wi-Fi signals, for no reason. So if i would try to scan wireless networks with any wi-fi card (i have tried it with USB Wi-Fi adapter, integrated Wi-Fi card on my laptop and also PCI Wi-Fi card from D-Link. None of them does not see my wireless network. Everything else works fine - i am connected to internet and everything that is wire-connected to router seems to have no problem at all. But if you were connected via wireless then you got problem. So the solution? Login to router web interface, go to "Wireless " tab and first select "disable" on "Enable wireless networking", save settings, and then switch it back to "enable" and save settings. Strangely, almost instantly every single wi-fi device does see wi-fi network and it is able to connect to it. So i would need some help or advice, did i messed something up, should i do something so this annoying breakdowns stop? I mean, i can reset WiFi every 2-3 days but that's not actually giving me any "comfort" what i was hoping to get from my router. WiFi is on channel 10, B/G mixed (also uses WPA/WPA 2 security). Thanks for any help, Zimzon

Sadly im having exactly the same problem there is no new firmware and pretty much 2 hours to 2 days wireless will drop off the map, wired this modem is perfect, not lost connection once but wireless, it doesn't matter if which adapter I use (I have 3 pc's and a wii i'd like to have wireless) one uses the linksys adapter that came with the wag, the other 2 pc's have a netcore and safecom adapter, all in the same room as the router. Guess im going to haveto buy a different router

I have this device with the latest firmware and I'm experiencing similar issues. Wireless will work great for 24-48 hours then just die completely. Have to either disable then enable it, or change the channel, to make it work again. Very annoying, not to mention the other performance issues with this router ...

I got my WAG54G2 today to replace my aging WAG354G which loses it's settings if powered off, but am finding it a few steps backwards with regards to compatibility. Sure it has more Wireless Security Protocols, but my XBOX Wireless Adapter sees the Router, but won't connect regardless of it using WEP,WPA or no Security at all. My PS3 works just fine, my Laptops work fine as well, but it takes forever to obtain an IP Address. I have yet to test the PSP, Wii and DSLite, but all of those work 100% with the WAG354G. I hope my brand loyalty is not going out the Window if the wireless dropping is indeed an issue with this model as all 7 of my devices are connected Wirelessly and I tossed out my old Netgear DG834GT because it used to randomlly lose wireless connectivity and need a reboot to fix it. I have also noticed this WAG54G2 doesn't have an option in the Web Interface to restart or reboot it? Why is that when all previous models have? And yes, it's on the latest firmware available....

I'm having the same problem. After a couple of hours of not using the wireless, the SSID broadcast stops and I have to reset the router so the SSID can be reactivated. I'm using the latest firmaware version 1.00.10 Will this problem be looked into ?
