I've tried that and got error message that firmware version is wrong. Hope it will be another release for the HW ver 1 to fix all wireless encryption issues! I had to fall back to WEP, otherwise my Nokia N95 8Gb can't connect after some time.
NO its not possible to Upload a Version 2 firmware on your Version 1 Router. As its an Hardware specific. If you try to load a version 2 firmware on version 1 then it might corrupt your Router and your Router will stop working. So its better to load the version 1 firmware on your Router.
